asked the Minister for the Environment the basic weekly pay of road workers in Counties Meath and Cavan: (a) immediately prior to the first Public Services Pay Agreement, (b) at the commencement and end of each of the two Public Services Pay Agreements, (c) at the end of each subsequent National Agreement, and (d) present pay.

It is assumed that the two public services pay agreements referred to by the Deputy are the two general pay rounds in the public service immediately prior to the first Employer/Labour Conference National Agreement dated 21 December 1970.

Following is the information requested as furnished by the County Councils in question:
