Vol. 315 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Dublin Second Level School.

21.

andMr. Clinton asked the Minister for Education when the new second level school at Blakestown, Mulhuddart, County Dublin, will be ready for occupation, the number of pupils to be catered for initially, and the arrangements to be made in the event of the school not being completed by September 1979.

Building of this school is well advanced and accommodation will be available in the new building for pupils from the school area who will be enrolling in September 1979. An enrolment of approximately 80 pupils is expected then.

Will the Minister say whether all the pupils who will be seeking entry will be given accommodation next September?

It is implicit in my reply. I said we expect about 80 pupils and that we will be able to cater for them.

Is the Minister aware of the concern in the area that not all the children who will be seeking accommodation there in September can be accommodated?

My Department are satisfied they will be accommodated.
