I have received no proposals from Kildare County Council in respect of group water schemes in the county. I will however arrange to have my Department forward to the Deputy details regarding schemes initiated by private groups which are at present at design stage or under construction.

asked the Minister for the Environment the up-to-date position in regard to the small sewerage scheme at Curryhills, Prosperous, County Kildare.
Kildare County Council submitted to my Department, as part of the council's 1979 small schemes programme, a proposal for a sewer extension from Prosperous towards Clane which I understand includes the Curryhills area. As the cost of the work exceeded the £30,000 cost limit for individual small schemes the council were informed in February 1979 that the scheme could not be considered eligible for inclusion in their small schemes programme.
No further proposals for a scheme to serve the Curryhills, Prosperous area have been submitted to my Department.
