The decision to publish the report of the study on the school transport scheme without comment was taken with a view to enabling public discussion of its contents to take place before any decisions would be made on the recommendations contained in the report.
My Department have sought the comments and observations of various interested bodies and associations. Decisions regarding the recommendations contained in the report will be taken in due course following consideration of such comments and observations and all the other relevant factors.
