asked the Minister for the Environment the sums of money requested by each local authority for 1980 under the headings of (a) repairs and maintenance and (b) improvements for (i) national primary roads, (ii) national secondary roads, (iii) special grants and (iv) block grants, and the amount granted under each heading.

It is not the practice for local authorities to submit requests for annual road grant allocations.

Following are details of the allocations made to each local authority for 1980:
