I presume that the Deputy is referring to the designation of custodial treatment centres in pursuance of the provisions of section 28 (10) of the Misuse of Drugs Act, 1977. I made an order on 1 February 1980 entitled the Misuse of Drugs (Custodial Treatment Centre) Order, 1980 designating the Central Mental Hospital, Dundrum, for that purpose.
The question of the designation of further centres will be considered in the light of the experience of the operation of the Act.
