The first professional diver training course held in Ireland concluded earlier this month in Dunmore East. AnCO, in conjunction with an Irish diving company, trained 12 basic air divers to an internationally recognised standard on this course.
Job opportunities and requirements for divers in Ireland are monitored by my Department and AnCO and should the need for a further diving course be indicated Gweedore will be considered along with other possible locations.
