I am informed by the Garda authorities that Bennettsbridge Garda Station is open on weekdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and on Sundays from 12 noon to 1 p.m. and that outside these hours the Bennettsbridge area is served from the district headquarters at Thomastown. The Garda authorities also state that the present arrangements make the best use of available police resources, and that, having regard to the available resources and other demands on Garda services, the current strength and patrolling arrangements provide an adequate police service for the area.
