asked the Minister for Education if his attention has been drawn to the situation whereby 11 prefabricated rooms in use at St. Colman's vocational school, Gort, County Galway, were all condemned in 1978 and if he will make a statement in the matter.

asked the Minister for Education when discussions between his Department and County Galway Vocational Education Committee will take place on the proposed permanent extension to Gort Vocational School, County Galway.

asked the Minister for Education if he will give the following information regarding the vocational school at Gort, County Galway: (i) if he intends to sanction a new school; (ii) if he intends to provide a permanent extension to the existing school; (iii) when construction will commence; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

asked the Minister for Education if he will arrange for negotiations to commence with a view to having a new vocational school built at Gort, County Galway.

With the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 11, 12, 13 and 15 together.

I have considered an application from the County Galway Vocational Education Committee in connection with the planning of a permanent extension to Gort Vocational School. I have approved provision for 300 student places. My Department will be in touch with the committee in the near future with a view to having the planning of the project undertaken as soon as feasible.
