: The Industrial Development Authority are continuing their efforts to promote industrial projects which will provide jobs for men in Castlebar.
The Authority have a 15,000 sq. ft. cluster development in the town in which one unit is occupied and the remaining three units are reserved for small industrial projects. Between them these four projects will provide additional employment for over 30 men at full production.
The Authority are also building a 27,600 sq. ft. advance factory at Castlebar which will be completed early next year. The factory is being vigorously promoted for a suitable male employing project. When a project has been secured for the factory, the IDA plan to construct a further advance factory of 24,000 sq. ft.
