Wexford Corporation have been informed that a substantial amount of the work proposed must be carried out by the local authority within the context of the contract with the scheme's contractor and the remainder is normal maintenance and falls to be met from local revenue, including income from rents and part of the proceeds of sales of corporation houses. I do not accept the suggested analogy with the Drogheda scheme where works of a capital nature are involved.
