asked the Minister for Education if he will state, in relation to the inquiries being made by his Department into a complaint by a parent (details supplied) about compulsory religious education at the school attended by his child (a) what form the inquiries are taking; (b) the rank of the official making the inquiries; (c) whether the official concerned will interview the complainant in connection with the inquiry; and if he will expedite the conclusion of the inquiry in order to guarantee the rights of the child concerned.

The complaint mentioned in the question is being examined by my Department. The inquiry will be concluded with all possible haste.
