Allocation of Time: Motion.

I move:

That notwithstanding anything in Standing Orders, the following arrangements shall apply in the debate today on the motion relating to the joint communiqué issued after the meeting on the 8th December, 1980 between the Taoiseach and the British Prime Minister:

(a) the speech of the member of the Government opening the debate, the speeches of the first speaker from Fine Gael and the first speaker from the Labour Party and the speeches of the final three speakers shall not exceed 25 minutes each;

(b) the speech of each other Member called on shall not exceed 10 minutes; and

(c) the final speaker from the Labour Party and the final speaker from Fine Gael shall be called on not later than 12.15 p.m. and 12.40 p.m. respectively, and a member of the Government shall be called on not later than 1.05 p.m. to conclude the debate.
