asked the Minister for the Environment if he will indicate the roads, if any, that are likely to be made toll roads in accordance with the proposals of the Government's Investment Plan which was published in January 1981; and whether there have been new inquiries and/or discussions with different private sector interests in relation to the construction of toll roads or bridges other than the one currently proposed for the river Liffey in Dublin.

Discussions have taken place with private sector interests regarding participation in infrastructural projects, including toll roads and bridges. In response to inquiries by the private sector, examples have been made available of projects which might form the basis of further discussion with individual road authorities. I am not in a position at this stage to indicate particular projects in which the private sector may participate.
