asked the Minister for the Environment when a £1,000 new house grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

A final inspection was carried out on 12 March 1981. The grant will be paid very shortly if the inspector's report confirms that the house has been completed and that the other conditions applying to the grant scheme have been complied with.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in the payment of a new house grant to a person (details supplied) in County Waterford; and when payment will be made.

There has been no delay in my Department in processing this case. The grant will be paid when an inspection establishes that the house has been completed and the other conditions applying to the grant have been complied with. The inspection will be carried out as soon as possible. An appointment will have to be made as nobody was at home when the inspector called on two previous occasions.
