The total amount allocated to the National Programme for the Provision of Recreational Facilities is £5.6 million — £3.5 million from the Tri-partite Committee on Employment Fund and £2.1 million from the Exchequer.
Under the terms of the programme grants are paid in instalments to each project as building work proceeds and to date a total of £730,000 has been expended.
Payment of grant instalments has been made in respect of building work carried out on projects at the centres listed on the tabular statement which with the permission of the Ceann Chomhairle I propose to circulate with the official report.

Is it intended to have a second allocation for 1981 under the tri-partite agreement in respect of sporting facilities?
There is the roll-over effect for one thing.
We cannot spend money twice.
The point is made about the amount of money in the fund and the amount that has been paid out so far. The schemes are progressing satisfactorily.

Allocations will be made because the schemes are of such a size and so very effective. Of course, there is a roll-over.
I understand that the money which was made available in 1980 came from the tri-partite fund. Was a similar fund agreed on in the national understanding six months ago?
The total was £5.6 million. The tri-partite fund part of that £5.6 million was £3.5 million and the Exchequer part was £2.1 million. I cannot answer the other question but if the Deputy puts down a separate question I will answer it or if the Deputy wishes I will write to him.
I just want to know if there is a similar fund for 1981?
I have an idea that there is but I do not wish to commit myself or make a mistake. I will write to the Deputy on the matter.
