Persons from the Carrigaline area register their unemployment at the employment office, Passage West and receive payment at their local post office each week. As Carrigaline is only about seven miles from Passage West and as only a small number of persons from the Carrigaline area are registered as unemployed, the setting up of an employment exchange in Carrigaline would not be justified.
