I have not received any proposal from the Western Health Board for a major extension to the County Hospital, Roscommon.
Is the Minister not aware that there is urgent need for a major expansion of the County Hospital in Roscommon? The provision of extra staff will necessitate more accommodation and extra facilities and I would ask the Minister to request her Department who are responsible for the overall problem of accommodation to look into the matter.
In accordance with the usual practice the proposal will come from the health boards.
