With the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 786, 787 and 788 together. It has been the practice to prepare results statistics in three groupings (that is, grade C or higher; grade D; and E or lower); these groupings correspond to the previous statistics of Honours, Pass and Fail.
The statistics for 1981 have not yet been compiled. I have, however, arranged that the relevant statistics (C or higher, D and E or lower) for the subjects mentioned will be forwarded to the Deputy without avoidable delay. I have also arranged that a copy of the published statistics relating to the 1980 Leaving Certificate Examination will be forwarded to the Deputy for his information.
