asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs whether his Department will refund a new telephone rental and connection fee which is payable in advance where the applicant wishes to withdraw the application due to the purchase of a house not being finalised.

In the circumstances outlined payment would be refunded unless expense had been incurred by the Department on engineering work which could not be utilised to provide service for another applicant.

(Wexford) asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will provide a telephone kiosk in the Church Road/St. Mary's Villas area of Bunclody, County Wexford, where one hundred residents have indicated by petition to his Department the necessity for such a service.

The provision of a kiosk at this location is not regarded as warranted at present and it is not proposed therefore to provide one there.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when it is proposed to replace the two telephone kiosks on Sundrive Road, opposite the Marist Convent, Dublin, which are now in a derelict condition and for which repeated requests for their replacement have been made to his Department.

My Department have no plans to replace these kiosks but arrangements are being made to have them renovated and this will be done quickly.
