There are no specific grants available from my Department for organisations who are involved in the care of the aged and assisting in providing homes for the elderly.
However, health boards may, with my approval, give a grant under section 65 of the Health Act, 1953, to a body who is involved in providing services for the aged.
Grants are also available from the Minister for the Environment to voluntary housing associations which provide housing accommodation for the elderly.
