Possible sites for a second level school in Ashbourne were suggested by Meath County Council in August 1981 in response to a request from my Department for this information. A further site, beside the community centre, was suggested by the local parents' association. The question of the most suitable location for a second level school is under active consideration in my Department as part of a detailed examination in regard to the future post-primary provision for the Ashbourne area.
