Any revision of the legislation relating to the licensing of dogs is a matter for the Minister for Finance.
The general position as regards control of dogs, in relation to which a number of Departments have responsibilities, is being reviewed so as to improve liaison between the agencies concerned with a view to making existing measures more effective.
