Vol. 331 No. 12

Written Answers. - County Dublin Air Pollution.

338.

asked the Minister for the Environment the steps he intends to take to stop the air pollution emanating from an industrial plant (details supplied) at Clondalkin, County Dublin.

The control of air pollution is a matter for the local sanitary authority — in this case Dublin County Council.

I understand from the county council that the company has taken a number of steps to meet complaints made; that a further raising of the chimney stack at the plant is proposed, and that their senior health inspector has advised that the best practical means are being taken to avoid adverse effects.
