I am informed by the Dublin Corporation that, arising out of the incidents in question, 63 claims for compensation totalling £246,398 have been made against the corporation under the Malicious Injuries Code. The question of payment of compensation by Dublin Corporation will arise only where court decrees are granted against the corporation on foot of individual claims. It is understood that so far decrees have been granted in two cases by the courts and payment in these cases will fall to be made by the corporation in the coming year when the necessary rate has been struck.
