Additional non-capital expenditure, over the levels of allocations originally approved, has arisen in the current year for health boards and certain other health agencies as a result of budgetary increases in rates of cash allowances, special pay awards and certain other extra costs which were not provided for in the original allocations.
A Supplementary Estimate in the total amount of £91.418 millions (gross) and £80.568 millions (net) was approved by the Dáil on 19 November. The revised expenditure allocations, based on the grant available, for each health agency have been notified to the bodies concerned.
