Vol. 331 No. 12

Written Answers. - Dublin Senior Citizens' House.

447.

asked the Minister for Health if it is proposed to make a grant available towards the building of a house for senior citizens (details supplied) in Dublin; and, if so, when the grant will be made available and the amount.

My Department do not allocate funds for specific projects such as this. Assistance for such developments is a matter for the health boards, in this case the Eastern Health Board. However, the position at present is that the board's capital allocation for 1981 has been fully committed. The question of whether assistance can be provided for the project in the coming year will depend on the funds available to the board for capital purposes and the priority rating of this particular project in relation to other similar developments in the board's area.
