Vol. 331 No. 12

Written Answers. - Ballymun (Dublin) Flats.

456.

(Dublin North-West) asked the Minister for Health the criteria used by the chief medical officer of Dublin Corporation and accepted by her Department to assess any increased incidence of neurosis and upper respiratory tract infections in the Ballymun Flats complex in Dublin.

The question of using criteria has not arisen as no specific evidence has been produced of an increase in the conditions referred to. However, as indicated in my reply of 5 November 1981 to the Deputy on a related matter, if he has any evidence to support the implication in his question regarding ill health in Ballymun or other high-rise flats. I will arrange to have it considered.
