Vol. 332 No. 1

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

253.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a £1,000 new house grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Donegal.

A grant will be paid when an inspection establishes that the house has been satisfactorily completed and occupied and that the conditions applying to the grant scheme have been complied with.

254.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in carrying out the final inspection for a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny with a view to the payment of the £1,000 new house grant.

Any delay in processing this case arises from the failure of the applicant fully to document his application. The application form was returned to him recently for completion of the statutory declaration attached to the form; he was also requested to furnish a certified form SL 4 from his inspector of taxes. When the completed application form and SL 4 are returned to my Department, the application for a grant will be further processed.

255.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a house improvement grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny.

This grant will be paid if and when the applicant establishes that on or before 21 January 1980 a contract for carrying out the works had been entered into or the necessary materials had been purchased. The applicant has been recently requested to supply evidence of compliance with this statutory requirement.
