Almost 700 applications for capital grant assistance, including an application from the club referred to by the Deputy, were received under my Department's community, youth, recreational and employment programme. All funds placed at my Department's disposal for the purposes of this programme were fully committed by the former Minister of State and this club was not nominated for assistance by him. There are no funds currently available to me out of which I might make a capital grant available in this case.
