Vol. 333 No. 8

Written Answers. - Louth River Bank Repair.

579.

asked the Minister for Finance the proposals his Department have under the Coast Protection Act, 1963, to repair the river bank breaches in the Castletown River, from the "Big Bridge" to the Railway Arches.

The Commissioners of Public Works have received a proposal under the Coast Protection Act, 1963, from Louth County Council for a coast protection scheme at the Castletown river. The statutory preliminary examination has been carried out and the relevant report is under consideration by the commissioners with a view to making a determination under section 4 of the 1963 Act as to whether or not the circumstances are such that the preparation and execution of a scheme is warranted or feasible.
