Vol. 333 No. 8

Written Answers. - New National Schools.

582.

asked the Minister for Finance when work will commence on a primary school (details supplied) in County Wexford.

Tenders received for the erection of an extension to St. Iberius' national school, County Wexford, are under consideration at present by the Commissioners of Public Works. It is too early to say when work will commence.

583.

asked the Minister for Finance if he is aware that there are continuing problems regarding sewerage for Quarryvale national school, Clondalkin, County Dublin, which is now under construction; and if he will agree to make funds available to provide the pumping equipment necessary to have an adequate sewerage system for Phase 2 of the school which is being held up on account of the sewerage problem or if he will pressurise Dublin County Council to provide the necessary sewerage facilities so that the school can be completed and opened on time.

The Commissioners of Public Works understand from the architects employed by the chairman of the board of management of Quarryvale national school that the provision of a sewerage system by Dublin County Council is progressing satisfactorily and that they are satisfied that the facilities will be available before Stage II will be completed.
