As already published in the Pre-Budget Tables 1982, (Pl. 414), expenditure in relation to agriculture was £224.377 million in 1980 and has been provisionally estimated at £283.060 million in 1981. In addition, EEC aid under the common agricultural policy to Irish agriculture amounted to £408.2 million in 1980 and the provisional estimate for 1981 is £340.2 million.
While final data on the expenditure by local authorities on agriculture is not yet available, it is estimated that the amount spent in 1980 was £9.974 million and £11.033 million in 1981.
