asked the Minister for Education the present position in regard to the erection of a new school at Raheen, Headford, County Kerry.

Sketch-plans prepared by the Commissioners of Public Works for the proposed new national school at Raheen, County Kerry, have been approved from an educational viewpoint. Satisfactory evidence of title to the school site has now been established and the question of local contribution towards the cost of the project will now be taken up with the chairman of the school's board of management with a view to sanctioning a grant. Preparation of working drawings will be initiated.

asked the Minister for Education the present position in regard to the erection of additional classroom accommodation at Glaunaguillagh national school, Caragh Lake, County Kerry.

The Commissioners of Public Works and my Department's Inspector have reported recently on revised proposals submitted by the Reverend Chairman's Architect in January 1982 for the adaptation and updating of Glaunaguillagh National School, County Kerry.

The proposals provide for accommodation in three classrooms and ancillary accommodation with provision in the planning for a fourth classroom if required at a future date. The proposals and report are now being considered in my Department.

asked the Minister for Education the present position in regard to the erection of a new primary school at Faha, Killarney, County Kerry.

My Department agreed, in principle, in December 1981 to the provision of a new school comprising five classrooms, a general purposes room and ancillary accommodation at Faha, Killarney, County Kerry. The Commissioners of Public Works have been asked to report on the suitability of the site offered for the erection of the school and their report is awaited.
