Under the Local Government (Roads and Motorways) Act, 1974 (Declaration of National Roads) Order, 1977, 25 routes were declared National Primary Roads. Three of these are located wholly or partly in County Donegal. There have been no additions to the National Primary network since the 1977 Order was made.
