As stated in the reply of 24 November 1981, to the Deputy's previous question, the Commissioners of Public Works were requested on 30 September 1981, to furnish a report on the feasibility of extending Two-Mile-Borris national school, County Tipperary. The report is still awaited. It is understood from the commissioners that a report will be submitted at an early date and that an extension to the school site will be needed.

asked the Minister for Education the reason for the delay in building the extension which was sanctioned for Holycross national school, Thurles, County Tipperary; when it will be built; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
Tenders for the extension of Holycross national school, County Tipperary, were invited on 2 February 1982 and it is understood from the Commissioners of Public Works that consideration of the tenders received is at an advanced stage. It is anticipated that a contract may be placed at an early date.

asked the Minister for Education the present position in relation to the new national school which has been sought for Templetuohy, Thurles, County Tipperary; when it will be built; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
Tenders for the proposed new national school at Templetuohy, Thurles, County Tipperary are under examination by the Commissioners of Public Works. When their examination has been completed they will submit a report and a recommendation to my Department in the light of which the question of allowing the scheme to proceed to contract will be considered. Pending consideration of the commissioners' report and recommendation, it is not possible to state when building work may commence.
