asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the hold-up in paying the £1,000 new house grant to a person (details supplied) in Cork who has been living in his home two and a half years and when he can expect to obtain payment.
This application was rejected in accordance with Article 11 (1) (b) of the Housing Regulations, 1980, as the applicant had occupied the house for more than one year prior to the date on which his application for a grant was received in my Department.
