In relation to the group of Votes for which the Minister for Finance is directly responsible the only such commitment to additional expenditure arises from the decision to increase the number of secretarial assistants available to Members of the Dáil who are not office holders. The extra costs involved in 1982 in respect of salaries, equipment and accommodation is about £660,000 but it is expected that some of this will be met from savings.
