Vol. 334 No. 4

Written Answers. - EEC Regional Development Fund Projects.

asked the Minister for Finance the projects which have been approved under the EEC Regional Development Fund (non-quota cross-Border section); and if he will give details of the projects which have been submitted for approval in 1982.

I wish to refer the Deputy to a written reply given to Deputy Rory O'Hanlon on 16 December 1981 which listed the tourism-related projects which commenced in 1981. In addition to those projects the following were undertaken during the course of that year: Provision of landing facilities at Aranmore and Burtonport; Purchase of buses for Derry/Lough Swilly Railway Company; Grants for craft industries in the Border counties; Marketing aids for small and medium-sized industries.

Donegal—Construction of a craft centre near Donegal town; Development of Gortahork sub-aqua unit; Renovation works at Doe Castle; Provision of angling facilities at Dunfanaghy and Aniver Lake; Provision of facilities at Greenore Golf Club.

Leitrim—Provision of angling facilities at Lough Melvin and Glencar Lake; Provision of angling facilities at Ballinamore; Provision of access at Knockvicar boat slip; Provision of toilet facilities at Leitrim village.
