I understand that this report, which is being prepared by a team consisting of representatives from the Garda Síochána and from the operations research section of the Department of the Public Service, is almost completed and I expect it will shortly be submitted to me with the Commissioner's comments. This report is a confidential document undertaken to assist those with responsibility for the management of the Garda Síochána and, in accordance with normal practice regarding this type of report, I do not propose to publish its contents.
