I am advised by the Revenue Commissioners that the claim for repayment is by reference to substantial loan interest payable by the taxpayer's husband. The information so far furnished to the inspector of taxes does not indicate how the payment of substantial loan interest and repayment of capital have been funded. There has been continuing correspondence with the taxpayer on this matter and she called, by invitation, to discuss the position with the inspector on 26 May 1982. Arising from that discussion, there are a number of points which still need to be clarified to the inspector's satisfaction and the taxpayer has undertaken to advise the inspector of the further necessary information required.
