Vol. 336 No. 5

Written Answers. - Phoenix Park (Dublin) Road.

471.

asked the Minister for Finance when traffic control measures, including the provision of roundabouts, will be introduced on the main road in the Phoenix Park.

A number of traffic control measures, involving the provision of white lines and of additional speed limit signs, have recently been introduced on the main road in the Phoenix Park. It is also intended to erect a temporary demountable roundabout at the Phoenix Cross on the main road. Arrangements will be made for this work when the type of lighting at the roundabout itself and along the approach roads leading to the roundabout has been settled. Subject to the temporary roundabout proving satisfactory, it is proposed to have permanent roundabouts erected at all the four junctions on the road.
