Vol. 337 No. 5

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

447.

asked the Minister for Agriculture the reason a headage payment has not been paid to a person (details supplied) in County Roscommon; and when he may expect payment.

The reason a cattle headage grant has not been paid for 1981 to the person named is that he did not present any of the animals listed in his application for inspection as required by the terms and conditions of the scheme. His case has been re-examined and since he had disposed of all his animals on veterinary office advice it has been decided to allow headage payment on those animals listed on his application form which were present at a herd test on 16 September 1981. Payment in respect of these animals will issue shortly.

448.

asked the Minister for Agriculture the reason a headage payment was not made to a person (details supplied) in County Roscommon; and when this person can now expect payment.

The person named was paid his 1981 EEC suckler cow premium on 25 May 1982 and his cattle headage grant on 29 June 1982.

449.

The local office of the Department has not yet been notified by the applicant that the work has been completed. When notification is received a final inspection will be carried out, and if the work is satisfactorily completed the grant will be paid without delay.
