asked the Minister for Transport if he intends to allocate additional funds to CIE so that the Bombardier Shannon programme of supplying buses will continue at its present level as a shortfall of £6 million is now estimated.
I propose to take Questions Nos. 465 and 466 together. CIE's capital allocation for the acquisition of new buses in 1982 amounts to £20 million. A request by the board for an increase in this allocation is at present being considered.
