asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if a person (details supplied) in South Circular Road, Dublin who paid a deposit of £240 for a telephone on 11 January 1982 can now have this deposit refunded; if he will now make arrangements for such a refund and confirm that, by the person accepting the refund, he will not lose his place on the connection list; when a telephone service will be provided and the reason for the six-month delay.

It is regretted that it has not so far been possible to provide service for the person named because of exceptional pressure of engineering work in the Dublin area in recent months. It is expected that service will be provided within the next month. The advance payment is being refunded. This will not add to the time taken to give service.
