asked the Minister for Education if he is aware that a capital grant of £10,000 which was allocated by the previous Government under his Department's scheme for Bunninadden community centre, County Sligo, has not yet been paid; and if, in view of the major expenditure incurred by a small community on the excellent centre and the difficulties caused by the delay in paying the grant, he will take all the necessary steps to ensure that the grant is issued immediately.

The grant in question was allocated to the Bunninadden centre subject to compliance with the terms and conditions of my Department's community, youth, recreational and employment scheme and in this regard an officer from my Department met with members of the Bunninadden Centre Committee at the beginning of June. At that meeting the committee were requested to furnish some additional documentation regarding works carried out at the centre. This documentation has recently been received in my Department and arrangements are being made for payment of the grant to the committee.
