Vol. 337 No. 11

Written Answers. - Telephone Service.

225.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a telephone service will be provided for a person (details supplied) as she paid the connection fee on 6 April 1982 but who has since heard nothing further on the matter.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a telephone kiosk will be provided for the Connolly Park area of Tubbercurry, County Sligo.

The provision of a kiosk at this location is not regarded as warranted at present and it is not proposed therefore to provide one there.

227.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a telephone service will be provided for persons (details supplied) in County Dublin.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when telephone lines will be provided for business premises (details supplied) in Dublin which have been on the waiting list for two and a half years.

Service will be provided for the person named, who applied in November 1981, as soon as possible but it is unlikely that necessary cabling can be completed for about a year.

229.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when telephone lines will be provided for business premises (details supplied) in Dublin which have been on the waiting list for two and a half years.

Service will be provided as soon as it is possible to do so but it is unlikely that the necessary cabling can be completed for about a year.

230.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when telephone lines will be provided for business premises (details supplied) in Dublin which have been on the waiting list for two and a half years.

It is expected that service will be provided for the person named, who applied in March 1982, within about a year.

231.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs the reason telephone service for a person (details supplied) in Knocklyon, Dublin 16, has not been restored despite the fact that the reconnection fee of £50.00 has been paid to his Department and the cheque cashed.

It has not been possible to provide service for the person named at his new address so far because of a problem in connection with the cable. It is expected that service will be provided within about a month.

232.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs the reason the telephone service provided for persons (details supplied) in County Dublin has been cut off as their bills have been fully paid.

Unfortunately due to a delay in bringing the relative payment to account, outward service was withdrawn. The subscribers had continuous incoming service but, I regret to say, outward service was withdrawn for nine days. Service has been restored and an appropriate rental rebate will be allowed for the period during which the subscribers were without service.

233.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a telephone service will be provided for a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

Within about a year.

Questions Nos. 234 and 235 postponed.
