Vol. 338 No. 1

Written Answers. - Water and Sewerage Schemes.

399.

asked the Minister for the Environment when work will start on the proposed new sewerage scheme at Paulstown village, County Kilkenny, as it is badly needed.

In May 1981 I approved revised preliminary proposals for the Paulstown sewerage scheme, County Kilkenny. As the further planning of this scheme is a matter for Kilkenny County Council, I regret that I am not in a position to indicate when work thereon is likely to commence.

asked the Minister for the Environment the present position regarding the Bohernabreena water supply improvement scheme which was submitted to his Department by the county council in February 1981; the areas to be served by this draft scheme; and when approval will be forthcoming from his Department in view of the urgent need in the area for piped water supplies.

Preliminary proposals for a scheme to extend the Bohernabreena water supply scheme are intended to service the townlands of Cunard, Glassamucky, Castlekelly and Allagour. The proposals are under examination in my Department but I am not at present in a position to say when a decision will be conveyed to Dublin County Council.
