Under the scheme administered by the Higher Education Authority, a grant is payable only on the recommendation of an expert sub-committee that the book in question is fully suitable as a university textbook. The book referred to in question was examined by the expert sub-committee and the decision in the matter was conveyed by the Department of Education to the publisher on 28 July 1982.
