Whilst price agreement in this case was originally agreed in July 1981 a number of difficulties subsequently arose which were outside my Department's control, including a reduction in the area on offer. In fact agreement in respect of a revised offer was not reached until October 1982. The legal aspects are currently in hands with a view to early closure of the sale and payment of the purchase money.
